Primary

This year I have been very blessed to be a part of the primary presidency. It has been such a wonderful experience and I have been able to see Conrad mature a bit, as he has had the chance to go to Primary. I always thought he was such a well behaved little boy, until his first year in Sunbeams, when I have been able to see first hand how much energy this kid truly has. He has been very lucky to have some patient teachers and has grown to love the teachers and kids in his class.I am so much in love with this little guy, and even though I need to work with him on his "I can't sit still for more than 2 minutes" issues, it is so fun to watch him sing and interact at church with the other kids. I had to share this adorable photo with you all, I can usually get him to show up with is tie on, but sometime during the day he talks me into letting him take it off. Mamma loves you little C :)

A Happy Halloween

I have been the biggest blogger slacker in the world. This week I plan to get caught up a little bit! Dan bought our family a domain, since he works with them all day, its about time we bought one. Mostly we wanted it for the cool e-mail address! Our website points here, so I better keep it updated!
We had a very fun Halloween, Conrad really enjoyed himself. Last year, my sister and I picked up his costume and his cousins costume at Walmart for something like $1.50. He was very excited to be the worlds cutest Optimus Prime. Accompanied by his fairy mother we went out into the cold and made the rounds. He was scared of a few things he saw but I was super proud of my polite little man who said "Thank you" to everyone who gave him candy without having to be reminded.

Just come cute pictures of Spring!

Conrad is a huge fan of Curious George. My sister and I took the boys to the children's museum, where they were having a huge Curious George display. We played with some clay and I just love that when he is concentrating really hard on something he sticks out his tongue, just like his mom, I had to get a picture of it.
Hugging George. What could be better? He has told me if he ever had a brother, he would want to name him George, and if he ever had a sister? Well according to him, a baby sister would be out of the question!
The million dollar smile. Wearing a hat from the display.
Conrad surrounded by beautiful flowers while feeding the ducks at the library. This is my new background picture on my computer. Is it possible to love someone so much your heart could burst?

Today ended a pretty scary chapter in our lives, but I am reminded of all the things to be thankful for. I am so grateful for Conrad and his health, his wonderful ability to make me smile no matter what kind of stress or day I have had. The cute jokes he has learned. The puzzles he has found a passion for to give me some peace and quiet and an easy reason to get a hug and kiss once he has completed them.
I am so thankful for my family. I have a wonderful support system. A Mom and Dad who opened their home to us when we needed it, who would know when I needed a "break" from the boys and take 2 of them away from me. In-laws who have helped us out with their thoughts and support. For an extra check when we needed it. For their unconditional love for us. Sisters who have been there to remind me how strong I am, to remind me to keep faith and talk me out of doubting myself.
For my wonderful husband, for the man he is. The strength he holds, his character, his honesty's and for never giving me a reason to doubt him. For the wisdom he has given me, for the growth he has experienced. For reminding me of all the reasons I fell in love with him and confirming that he is the person I want to spend the rest of this life and next with.

I love you all very much. Bright days are coming our path will still have challenges, but the worse is behind us, and I get to look forward to a beautiful future with my family.

Wowzers

I haven't blogged in a long time, and this entry will not be very long, but I did want to get some photo's of my adorable son put up. He turned 3 years old Nov 21st, and he wanted a dinosaur rex cake, so I did the best I could. He had a wonderful Birthday. I love him so much !
Since he is now 3 years old, that means he is no longer in Nursery at church. He is officially a primary kid. He has learned some of the songs, and love "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam" the best. I will try and get some video of it. Having him in primary has been a little bit of a challenge, since mommy is in there he wants to hang out and sit by her. I was recently called to first councilor to the Primary Presidency.

6 months ago, if someone had told me of my upcoming church calling, I would have told them that they were crazy. However, because of all I have gone through these past few months, I have grown so much and know that I am ready for the responsibility. Life has been really rough lately, but I have gained so much knowledge and insight and I have learned to count my blessings.

I am so thankful for so many things. I am thankful for the woman I have become, for the strength I have gained and for the faith I have included in my daily life. I am thankful for the path my life is on and for my new perspective on my life. I am so grateful for my family and those in my life that I love and count on daily. I am grateful to the Lord for the wisdom he has and the comfort he has given me. Although the road ahead of me is still rocky, I know I will be strong enough to face what I must and I will be brave enough to forgive those in need and I will be wise enough to love all those around me.

As most of my close family and friends know, My family is going through a really rought time right now. I haven't felt much like blogging about it, but I wanted to add some cute pictures of Conrad and his new favorite thing in the world GEO TRAX. These cute little trains entertain him for hours. I love him so much, and feel very grateful for my little boy to brighten up my day when the world seems so gray.
