The saddest day

Today is always a sad day for me. Its the day we take Britlee down to her Dad's house for the better part of the summer. I wont see her for a few weeks, and our house is going to miss her sweet spirit. This photo is one with her favorite teacher on the last day of school. Mr Gunther teaches her math class, which happens to be her favorite class, thanks to his teaching. I never thought a child of mine would love their math class, but Britlee did great this year and I believe this was the ONE class she had no tardy's to.

Last week Britlee spent the week in girls camp for our church. She had a great time, and told me that when they read some words I had written to/about her, she cried. I dont remember what I wrote, only that I spoke from the heart. Girls Camp Photo's :

Britlee truely is one of my best friends. I am so lucky to have been blessed to have her as a daughter. She is so funny, so beautiful and so smart. There are so many times when I will think about something she said or did during the day and it will bring a smile to my face or make me laugh out loud, having everyone around me wonder whats wrong with me. The older she gets, the more proud I become of her. She is growing into a wonderful woman, and I am so lucky to have her. I remember when she was a baby, the feeling of pride I would have for her when she did something new or smiled or just plain looked cute. That feeling has never gone away, and as time goes by it grows. She makes some of the typical teenager mistakes, but she really has a good head on her shoulders and I am so grateful for that. She will never cease to amaze me.

This photo pretty much sums up how everyone feels about her leaving for the summer. We are all very sad to not have her sweet spirit in the house, and although I hope she has a good time at her Dad's house this summer, I will be looking forward to the chance to see her again. I love you Britlee ! We miss you already !
