The summer of owies

So in typical boy fashion Conrad has been getting his fair share of scrapes and bruises. I tried to get a shot of his poor little leg all scraped up from falling into a rosebush. He is definitely a little trooper however. Many times he is running around, bonks something, runs to mama for a quick kiss to make it feel better than he is off on his merry way. We have finally had some nice weather. Its been fun to be able to take him out to the park or Grandma's park, as he calls their back yard.

This has been Britlee's first official week out of school and she has been a very busy girl, between
hanging out with her friends (I remember when it used to be called playing with her friends) and other various summer activities I feel like I have barely seen her.
This weekend we both worked volunteer work for her High School Dance team, to help fund raise for expenses. Liberty High School hosted a huge dance recital, we both worked a shift in the concession booth, and she worked one as an usher as well. Hopefully we made a lot of money for the team. She heads off to girls camp next week and the day after she gets home, off to dance camp.

I had to have an emergency root canal done this week, which was no fun. I actually have to go back Wednesday to get it finished up. I had a horrid infection and they were not able to numb me enough to finish. So moral of the story is if you have dental insurance, GO to the dentist and get your pearly whites checked out before they get all hurty.

As if we were not busy enough last week, we also were baby sitting my parents dog for the week while they were in Utah with family. We had so much fun having a pet for the week. Its a cute little Pomeranian named Holder. Conrad loved chasing her around the house and last week we were all victims of his puppy licks that he would give us. Nothing funner than a two year old who comes on over a licks your arm out of the blue. We had a blast, already miss her a bunch and are hoping that when Dan is working again, we might be able to talk him into a puppy of our own.

Awwww, poor little guy! Don't you just love how resilient boys are though? And lucky for you he is as adorable as he is tough!!
